LuckyCasino has announced its launch in the Spanish market, becoming the second LCKY Group brand to operate in the country.

LCKY Group was the subject of a rebrand in January from Glitnor Group. The operator was already running the OneCasino brand in Spain.

Both LuckyCasino and OneCasino are approved by the Spanish regulator, the DGOJ, under LCKY Group’s FPOOCL licence.

The company first secured a licence in the Iberian nation back in 2019.

LCKY Group said LuckyCasino has gone live with more than 2,000 games, with titles from Games Global, Pragmatic Play, Evolution and Play’n GO available on the site.

The group added it was “confident the brand will establish itself as a major player in the regulated Spanish market” and that it considered Spain to be particularly important for its long-term growth plans.

Spain is home to 77 licensed operators, with multiple licence holders operating more than one brand in the market.

As per EGM data, OneCasino has a 1.72% share of traffic in Spain. Market leaders based on traffic include bet365 (16.27%), bwin (7.78%) and Sportium (6.42%).

LCKY Group currently operates across five regulated igaming jurisdictions: Sweden, the Netherlands, Spain, Denmark and Ontario, Canada.

Mark Schram, LCKY Group managing director of B2C central and south Europe, said: “Everyone at LuckyCasino is looking forward to showing off the mix of variety and innovation that’s made our platform such a huge hit elsewhere.

“With Spain being a key market for us going forward, we’re excited to build on the success LCKY Group has already enjoyed in the country with OneCasino, and we expect our vast selection of content will prove hugely appealing for Spanish customers.”

The LCKY Group umbrella was previously used solely for the firm’s B2C operations. Its rebrand from Glitnor Group earlier this year formed part of its plans to expand internationally.

In September, Glitnor secured €55m in investment funding from HG Vora Capital to fuel its growth ambitions, particularly in M&A efforts such as its acquisition of OneCasino announced in 2024.

HG Vora is a significant shareholder in PENN Entertainment, and last May filed a lawsuit against the operator over a PENN board membership disagreement, which was later resolved out of court.
