Sportradar has strategically expanded its operations by opening a new office in São Paulo, Brazil, reflecting its growth ambitions in the Latin American region.
Anticipating the launch of Brazil’s regulated market in January 2025, industry experts predict a significant boost in Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR), expected to rise from BRL 18.4 billion ($3.18 billion) in 2023 to BRL 50.5 billion ($8.75 billion) by 2029.
The establishment of the São Paulo office positions Sportradar to capitalize on this potential growth and strengthen its corporate ties with regional stakeholders.
Sportradar has been active in Brazil, partnering with sports betting companies and providing AI-driven fan engagement solutions aimed at enhancing scalability. The company has advised local sports federations, including those in football, volleyball, and basketball, on data monetization and maintaining the integrity of sports events.
Moreover, Sportradar maintains formal working agreements with Brazil’s Federal Police and the Ministry of Finance.
With the addition of the São Paulo office, Sportradar now operates 28 offices across 22 countries on five continents, supported by an extensive partnership network that includes over 800 operators, 400 sports leagues, and 900 media organizations.
Eduard Blonk, Sportradar’s Chief Commercial Officer, stated: “Our strong business foundation in Brazil offers significant growth opportunities, influenced by the country’s large population and the widespread popularity of sports, particularly football—a sector where we hold global expertise.
“Our dedication to safeguarding the integrity of Brazilian sports aligns with Sportradar’s broader mission to promote a responsible and sustainable industry within a regulated framework.”
