Raketech CEO Johan Svensson has said the affiliate’s priorities are “unchanged” as it reported Q2 revenue of €5.6m (£4.8m).
The 17.6% year-on-year (YoY) decline was attributed to softer non-core market performance as it also continues to phase out its paid publisher network.
Adjusted EBITDA for the period fell 6.6% YoY to €1.3m. However, it was an improvement on the €1.2m from Q1.
Breaking down revenue by vertical, affiliation marketing declined 14.7% YoY to €4m, while sub-affiliation slid 19.3% YoY to €1.6m.
Geographically, revenue from the Nordics was down 6.2% YoY to €4.2m, while revenue from the rest of Europe fell 37% YoY to €251,000.
Revenue from the US slumped 49% YoY to €243,000 and revenue from the rest of the world tumbled 38% YoY to €899,000.
New depositing customers fell from 15,687 in Q2 2025 to 15,674 – a 1.2% YoY drop.
Raketech also reported that for the first six months of 2026, revenue was down 28% YoY to €10.9m, with adjusted EBITDA falling 7% YoY to €2.6m.
Commenting on the performance, Svensson said the quarter marked its second consecutive quarter of EBITDA improvement and while it started at a slower pace, activity increased towards the end due to the World Cup – culminating in the affiliate’s largest sports campaign in history.
“Looking ahead, our priorities are unchanged,” he said. “We will continue to strengthen our Raketech owned publishers (affiliation marketing), scale our media-led products further, and grow the organic publisher network while leveraging the synergies between our own publishers and the network.
“With EBITDA improvement, a stronger margin and revenue growth across both business areas, we believe Raketech is entering the second half with a stronger foundation for gradual improvement.”
Raketech also reported it released two new products in the quarter, prior to the World Cup, and is on course to launch seven media initiatives through the remainder of the year.
The affiliate also signed and went live with two new organic publishers in the Nordics, with Sweden and Denmark driving growth in Q2 compared to Q1 due to the World Cup.
Raketech’s share price was down 7.7% to SEK1.50 (11p) at the time of writing.
In July, Gentoo Media announced the appointment of former Raketech chief Måns Svalborn as the company’s new CFO.
Raketech slipped two spots to seventh in the 2026 edition of EGR Power Affiliates compiled in collaboration with accountancy and auditing heavyweight BDO.
