QiH Group has further bolstered its C-suite after appointing industry newcomer Sachin Saxena as the company’s new chief technology officer (CTO).
Saxena joins the affiliate from digital health company Congenica where he has served as CTO between June 2022 and March 2024.
He originally joined Congencia as director of engineering in November 2020 after an 18-month spell with Rocket Lawyer.
He moved to Rocket Lawyer in September 2018 as director of engineering and was then named vice-president of global technology in January 2019.
The new QiH Group tech exec also counts a 13-year stint with Dealogic on his CV, having worked his way up from software developer to head of product delivery during his time with the company.
As QiH Group CTO, Saxena will be responsible for overseeing tech initiatives, policies and integrations.
He will also manage the transition from previously outsourced functions and platforms to in-house talent.
Saxena becomes the latest addition to QiH Group’s evolving C-suite after former Lottoland head David Murphy was named chief marketing officer in April.
At the same time, Andrew Lee was promoted into the newly created COO role after spending nine years with the affiliate.
Speaking on his appointment, Saxena said: “Whether it’s software engineering, information science or managing tech talent, I love using my background to benefit a new sector.
“I’m really excited about the move into betting and gaming, and I know that QiH Group will be the next new challenge for me as I oversee the migration and integration of platforms, as well as building a high-performing team who will enhance the firm’s abilities.”
Jamie Walters, QiH Group CEO, added: “Working in the affiliate space is as challenging as it is rewarding – mainly because of the fast-paced nature and how competitive our products have to be.
“Investing in a CTO was the best decision for us now, as our in-house tech talent blossoms and we require next-gen leadership to scale the tech stack quickly.
“Sachin’s software engineering, development and leadership experience in the B2B sphere are excellent, and we’re so pleased to welcome him.”
Elsewhere, QiH Group has expanded into sports betting affiliation with the launch of its latest brand, Podium Bets.
