Regulatory intelligence provider Vixio has appointed Christian Erlandson as the new Chair of the company’s Board.

Assuming his new position immediately, Erlandson takes over from Gehan Talwatte, who served as the acting Chair of the Vixio Board for the last two years. Erlandson will draw on his background in executive leadership, strategy, and innovation to advance Vixio’s long-term growth strategy.

Upon his appointment, he commented: “I am honored to join Vixio as Chair and eager to contribute to the company’s ongoing success and expansion. Vixio’s dedication to the RegTech space, along with its cutting-edge AI-driven platform that enhances data insights and streamlines workflows, establishes the company as a leader in regulatory intelligence.”

“I look forward to guiding Vixio through this exciting phase of innovation and growth, delivering significant solutions for our current and future customers, and for our employees as well.”

Erlandson brings 30 years of experience in senior leadership roles within the data and analytics industry, including his time as CEO of Dun & Bradstreet UK, Managing Director at Thomson Reuters, CCO at GfK, and CEO of the Automotive Transformation Group.

His past roles have seen him leading successful digital transformations and product development initiatives while utilizing data-driven insights for clients.

Mike Woolfrey, CEO of Vixio, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Christian to Vixio and express our deep gratitude to Gehan for his indispensable contributions to Vixio’s growth over the last two years.

“Christian’s vast leadership experience, strategic vision, and dedication to promoting innovation will be crucial as we continue to solidify our standing as a leader in the RegTech market.”

Erlandson’s appointment aligns strategically with Perwyn – a European private equity firm that acquired Vixio in December 2022 to strengthen its market presence in regulatory intelligence for payments and gambling.

Gurinder Sunner, Partner at Perwyn, added: “Christian’s outstanding track record of driving growth and delivering value to stakeholders positions him as the ideal leader to guide Vixio into its forthcoming wave of success.

“We are confident his leadership will strategically position the company for enduring growth in payments and gambling, and sustained success as we expand further into financial services. I am excited about the opportunities ahead under his chairship.”
