Lotto.com has appointed former Flutter Entertainment exec Ruxanda Tereanu as COO, bolstering its C-suite as part of plans to expand across North America.

Alongside the addition of Tereanu, ex-Screenvision Media head Amanda Coyle has been named vice-president of human resources.

Tereanu joins Lotto.com having left Flutter after 13 years, from 2013 to 2026, in several different roles for its various brands.

She left FanDuel after three-and-a-half years in May, after initially joining in January 2023 as senior director of VIP operations, before a promotion to senior director of strategy and operations in September 2024.

Last July, she was named vice-president of FanDuel’s business operations.

Prior to joining FanDuel, Tereanu spent five years with Flutter’s UK and Ireland division from January 2018 to December 2022.

For the first three years, she worked as head of sports operations in Cluj, Romania, before transitioning to director of sports operations in July 2021 and then director of transformation in October 2022.

Tereanu’s association with Flutter stretches back to 2013 when she was a staffer at Betfair and then worked across content and promotions with Paddy Power Betfair.

At Lotto.com, Tereanu will be tasked with overseeing the operational strategy and execution across the company.

Commenting on her appointment, she said: “Lottery is the last major gaming category moving online, and the opportunity ahead is enormous.

“What attracted me to Lotto.com is the combination of innovation, growth and impact.

“As the business expands, we have an opportunity to reach new customers, enter new markets and continue growing contributions to the state programmes that benefit from lottery revenue.”

Meanwhile, Coyle joined Lotto.com in April, her first position in the igaming industry.

Prior to her arrival, she was director of human resources at advertising organisation Screenvision Media between September 2023 and April 2026.

Before that, Coyle spent a year at KCD, a public relations and communications services organisation, in the same role.

Between 2008 and 2019, she worked for several companies in HR roles including people ops and store manager at Lululemon Athletica and director of people and development operations at Avocado Green Brands.

At the online lottery courier, she will lead its people strategy, leadership development and organisational effectiveness.

Coyle said: “Lotto.com is at an exciting stage of growth. I’m excited to help build and scale the people strategy, strengthen leadership capabilities and create an employee experience that supports both business performance and long-term success.”

Lotto.com CEO Thomas Metzger noted both appointments will be “instrumental in scaling our business while maintaining the strong culture and customer experience that define Lotto.com”.

The pair will both be based out of the firm’s New Jersey HQ.

At the start of the year, Lotto.com announced it had reached the four million customer milestone, with its data showing players had won $150m in prizes since launching in Spring 2021.

It is currently operational in 11 US states, including Colorado, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York and Oregon, as well as Puerto Rico.

In the last 18 months, lottery couriers have faced regulatory issues in Texas, since the Texas Lottery Commission ruled they were no longer legal last February.

Two months later, Indiana voted through a bill in both the state House and Senate that would imposed a ban on lottery courier services.
