French operator Groupe Partouche has said that despite a ‘gloomy’ third quarter in France its overall revenues were satisfactory coming at €106.8m, up 1.6 per cent.

Growth in Gross Games Revenue (GGR) was mainly driven by the international activity of the group with GGR up 0.4 per cent to € 179.5m, compared to €178.7m a year earlier.

Partouche stated: “The generally gloomy and wait-and-see situation in France at the beginning of the summer (elections, weather, etc.) slightly weighs on attendance (down 0.6 per cent). Thus, the GGR stands at €160.7m, down 0.5 per cent compared to Y-1), marked by a decline in table games (-6.8 per cent), a growth in electronic games (+ 1.5 per cent) and a stability in the slot machines (-0.1 per cent).

Abroad, GGR increased by 9.4 per cent compared to a year earlier, at €18.8m, driven by the strong performance of Swiss online games, up 30.1 per cent to €5.5m and table games in general, which were up 33.9 per cent to €3.8m, excluding Swiss online games, while the GGR of slot machines fell by 6.3 per cent to €9.5m.
