Hard Rock Digital (HRD) has launched its Hard Rock Bet sportsbook and online casino products in Ontario, marking the operator’s first foray into a market outside of the US.
Hard Rock Bet is available for download on iOS and Android for local players, with desktop version accessible through the HardRockBet.ca domain. The platform is available to players aged 19 or over who are physically present in Ontario.
Upon signup, players will have access to Hard Rock Bet’s ‘Reward Drops’, in addition to online ‘Unity Points’ which can be redeemed in the Hard Rock Bet Reward Store.
HRD, which is primarily owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, said the move signals the company’s intentions of “building a truly local presence in Canada”, expanding on the land-based presence established with the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Ottawa.
The operator confirmed it has established an Ontario-based marketing team, in addition to a 24/7 local customer support operation.
Marketing efforts tied to the launch include a collaboration with Canadian artist Choclair, who remastered his 20-year-old song ‘Let’s Ride’ to coincide with the Hard Rock Bet launch.
Marlon Goldstein, executive managing director and CEO of HRD, said: “Expanding into Ontario with Hard Rock Bet marks the first time we’ve brought our platform to an audience outside the US.
“We’re excited to introduce Ontario players to a premium entertainment experience that reflects the energy and service synonymous with the Hard Rock brand.
“By investing in local talent, local partnerships and localised customer support, we’re creating an experience designed specifically for Ontario players.”
Ontario introduced Canada’s first regulated, commercial igaming market in April 2022. Alberta became the second Canadian province to regulate igaming, with its market going live earlier this month.
The Ontario launch marks the latest step of HRD’s expansion plans, after it entered Michigan, a sports and igaming state, in December, after evoke sold certain B2C assets to HRD.
Hard Rock International, the parent company of HRD, also licenses the Hard Rock brand to SpinCore Group, a Netherlands and Belgium-focused operator.
The group operates the Hard Rock Casino NL brand in the Dutch market. SpinCore Group was formed in December 2025 via a combination of Hard Rock Casino NL and Blitz Group.
HRD also ramped up its marketing efforts by announcing a multi-year partnership with Major League Baseball’s Miami Marlins, with Hard Rock Bet becoming the team’s official sportsbook.
The deal means Hard Rock Bet receives prominent branding throughout the Marlins’ LoanDepot Park stadium, such as digital outfield signage and featured content on the MarlinsVision videoboard.
The partnership features Marlins.TV broadcast integrations, fan promotions, social media campaigns, hospitality experiences and special access opportunities throughout the season.
The agreement also includes Hard Rock Bet’s integration across Marlins.TV telecasts, where the brand presents live odds and promotional offers across the MLB season.
HRD is live in 10 US states, including Florida where it has the de facto online sports betting monopoly. The operator also sponsors the NHL’s Florida Panthers and NBA franchise the Orlando Magic.
Regarding the Miami Marlins partnership, Hard Rock Digital’s vice-president of brand marketing, Lauren Varnas, said: “South Florida is our home, and the Marlins are at the heart of this community – making this partnership a natural fit for Hard Rock Bet.
“Through exclusive experiences, in-game features and engaging digital content, we’re creating new ways for Marlins fans to connect with the action all season long.”
