Genius Sports has launched Prediction.com, a prediction market affiliate site that allows users to compare event contracts across multiple platforms.

The new platform will be launched through the sports data giant’s consumer media and affiliate business Legend, which it acquired earlier this year in a deal that could eventually be worth $1.2bn.

In its announcement, Genius said Prediction.com “builds on Legend’s consumer and comparison technology, while creating a new flagship brand for the rapidly expanding prediction markets category”.

The platform will allow bettors to follow sports alongside changing probabilities, market signals and prices, “creating a single destination for discovering markets before an event and tracking them as the action unfolds”.

It will also let users discover prediction markets, compare event contracts across platforms and follow how markets change as events play out.

Genius Sports currently provides data, settlement and integrity services to several prediction markets platforms including Kalshi, Polymarket and FanDuel.

On LinkedIn, CEO and co-founder Mark Locke wrote: “Prediction.com creates a premium new platform to help customers engage in this rapidly growing sector.

“This launch is also an important example of Genius Sports and Legend successfully working together, combining live sports data with prediction market pricing and existing consumer technology.”

The launch comes a day after Locke posted on the Genius website that event contracts in sports betting will “remain a meaningful part of US sports trading” despite ongoing regulatory uncertainty.

On LinkedIn, he added: “As I wrote earlier this week, we believe the demand created by the rise of prediction markets will evolve but remain, and Prediction.com provides a premium new platform to meet that demand.”

States and regulators across the US and the wider gambling industry continue to debate and resist the legality of sports events contracts.

Platforms including Kalshi, Robhinhood and Crypto.com have been issued cease-and-desist orders in multiple states and, earlier in September, the New Jersey Attorney General Jennifer Davenport called on the Supreme Court to make a ruling on whether prediction markets can offer sports events contracts across the country.
