Cricket data specialist Decimal Data has appointed former Stats Perform head Oliver Parfi as COO, reuniting the exec with former colleague Andrew Ashenden.

Ashenden, who was unveiled as Decimal Data CEO in June, previously spent 17 years with Stats Perform in its various iterations, including a spell as chief betting officer.

Parfi cut his teeth in the sports data space with RunningBall in Austria, where he served as head of scout management.

In 2012, Stats Perform, which was known as Perform at the time, snapped up RunningBall in a deal worth up to €120m.

Parfi remained with the business, eventually shifting to head of field operations and later to vice-president of data operations.

In 2019, after the Perform and STATS merger created Stats Perform, Parfi became vice-president of global operations and then senior vice-president of global operations.

He departed the supplier in December 2024, a couple of months after Ashenden left the business.

The pair will now be reunited in the C-suite at Decimal Data, which was founded in 2020 by Charlie Bruce and Ben Newton.

Decimal Data has three offices across the UK, Dubai and South Africa and approximately 80 staff.

The business has been on a hiring spree in 2026, with the group tapping former Stats Perform head Elisa Martinez Ones as chief people officer.

Former UK Tote Group head Jamie Benson was named as chief of staff and ex-Genius Sports exec Laura Canham was onboarded as head of legal.

Speaking on his arrival, Parfi said: “I believe in fostering a culture of positive energy, collaboration and trust, where people are committed to excellence, take pride in delivering exceptional products and content and are doing it for the growth of sport.

“That’s exactly the culture I see at Decimal Data. And that’s why I’m excited to be here.”

Ashenden added: “Attracting the sports data experience and expertise of a talent like Oliver Parfi is a significant catalyst for Decimal Data’s vision to make cricket richer to experience and more valuable for everyone in the ecosystem, with greater reach and relevance for more fans, sponsors, participants and partners.”
