FanDuel has introduced several new “product experiences” for its sportsbook with the stated aim of giving customers more control over rewards and improving in-app research.

The Flutter-owned operator has introduced a new Rewards Club with a points-based monthly loyalty programme, designed to provide customers with greater control over how they earn boosts and bonuses, alongside more choice as to which rewards to cash in.

Users unlock levels as they bet, with each level offering increased benefits. Further features include daily promotions, a weekly selection of rewards, challenges and reward boxes.

Meanwhile, Bet Protect+, having already seen success with NBA and WNBA bettors according to FanDuel, will now be introduced for the NFL season.

For the cost of 3% of the wager, Bet Protect+ gives FanDuel users the option to pay for protection against injuries impacting player prop bets.

Under the system, any injury that causes a player to leave a game can trigger either a cash refund on straight bets, or the removal of the affected leg of a parlay, with the payout recalculated.

New for this season, FanDuel announced, is the option to auto opt-in to Bet Protect+, while the insurance feature can also be used with wagers funded with bonus bets.

Management said the My Bets page will also display impacted bets in real-time when an injury is confirmed, and users will receive real-time cash settlements.

Thirdly, FanDuel has launched what it calls “improved game intelligence features”. Player pages show game logs and with full breakdowns of player performance and a brief overview of form from the last five games.

Team stats are also available, alongside prop trends, injury reports, player favouriting, and league rankings later in the season.

Chatbot AceAI has also been added to the player page interface, offering stats, available markets, and the option to add selections to a betslip. An “Ask AceAI” tab has been introduced to player pages, too.

Karol Corcoran, managing director of sports at FanDuel, said: “Our customers look forward to football season, and this year we’re giving them more control of their experience to make it the most rewarding season ever.

“Rewards Club offers those who continue to choose FanDuel Sportsbook more promotions and flexibility in how they use them, and we’re also thrilled to bring new research tools and an enhanced version of our popular Bet Protect+ to the NFL.”

On 28 August, FanDuel and DraftKings renewed their multi-year partnerships with the NFL ahead of the new season, which begins on 10 September.

During its Q1 earnings announced in February, Flutter admitted its generosity playbook in the US had been “less effective” in Q4 2025 amid operator-friendly NFL results.

Around 11 weeks of the NFL season delivered a margin north of 30% for FanDuel, which bosses admitted had a “real impact on consumer sentiment”, resulting in “higher churn” and a loss of market share.

FanDuel CEO Amy Howe departed in May after five years in the position, with president Christian Genetski promoted to the top job.

Flutter’s Q2 earnings report revealed a 3% year-on-year (YoY) increase in revenue to $14.3bn.

However, US revenue fell 6% YoY to $1.69bn, with sportsbook down 15%, though igaming revenue increased 14%.

Flutter said FanDuel remains the leader in the US with a 39% share of sports betting and 27% of igaming, based on gross gaming revenue.
