Scoreconnect has appointed former Entain live casino head Antonio Ruggeri as its new CEO, EGR can exclusively reveal.
Ruggeri spent almost six years with Entain between February 2016 and November 2021 as a senior live casino product manager and will now lead the retention supplier in his first-ever CEO role.
Scoreconnect acts as an activation and retention platform, with its current offering including direct push messaging via Telegram.
The group plans to add WhatsApp communications to its product suite in the near future, while also branching out into using digital likenesses to drive customer engagement.
Alongside real-time messaging tools, Scoreconnect will also push AI-powered betting and casino recommendations to customers.
The product can either be integrated via existing player account management (PAM) systems or as a standalone, modular asset.
Ruggeri has recently been serving as an independent consultant to other businesses in the industry, but will now return to day-to-day operations with Scoreconnect.
Speaking to EGR, Ruggeri explained that Scoreconnect’s future output will see AI-driven digital characters able to drive consumer engagement across all verticals.
He said: “Scoreconnect is a tool that will integrate CRM capability and the digital human opportunity in order to activate in a very modern way.
“We will use this digital human and that will be a hyper-personalisation in one-to-one channels such as Telegram.
“And in the live casino business, via our API, we can animate human staff. Users have a preferred dealer, so when they are not available, you can choose the digital version and always be able to enjoy the interaction with said dealer.”
Touching on his targets over the next 24 months, the new CEO added: “I think we can target the world. The clear idea is there will be a digital human [avatars].
“By the end of the year, we would like to have a first business case working so at least [the market] can learn about Scoreconnect, and then scale up to big companies.
“The aim for next year is to be in a couple of markets. I am Italian, we can target the Italian market. There is lots of restrictions there on advertising, but CRM is still open.”
