OpenBet has appointed its president and ex-chief product officer (CPO) Nikos Konstakis as its new CEO, effective from the end of the year, EGR can exclusively reveal.

Current CEO Jordan Levin will step into the position of chair and continue to play an “active role” in the business’ long-term strategy, the supplier noted.

Konstakis moved to OpenBet in November 2017 (when it was still owned by Scientific Games) as vice-president of trading, joining from Intralot as vice-president of trading.

He spent 16 years with Intralot in various roles, including head of trading, head of product and trading and director of betting.

He was promoted to OpenBet group CPO at the end of 2021.

After two years, he transitioned to the COO role, and also had a stint as managing director of the supplier’s Greek arm, OpenBet Hellas.

In December 2025, Konstakis was named president of OpenBet, which has deals in place with the likes of Flutter, Tabcorp and Super Group.

Konstakis’ current stint with OpenBet is his second, having first joined the firm in November 2017 from

In Konstakis’ new role as CEO, he will lead OpenBet’s “vision, strategy and day-to-day business”, with a key focus on growth and product.

Last March, OpenBet completed a $450m management buyout of the company, backed by Endeavor CEO Ariel Emanuel and Levin.

OpenBet was sold to Endeavor in 2021 in a $800m by Scientific Games, which was then renamed Light & Wonder. Endeavor sold the supplier to management as part of being taken private by private equity firm Silver Lake.

Endeavor controls TKO Group Holdings, the umbrella entity which owns the UFC and WWE.

Previously, Scientific Games acquired OpenBet in 2018 as part of its takeover of NYX Gaming Group.

Scientific Games continues to exist as a separate entity focused on lottery, while Light & Wonder is an ASX-listed online and land-based gaming supplier.

OpenBet said it processed more than $3bn worth of bets during the 2026 World Cup spread across more than 175 million wagers.

Konstakis thanked outgoing CEO Levin for the “foundation” he’d built and said it was a “privilege” to take on the role.

“We have an exceptional customer base, a great team and significant opportunities ahead of us,” he said.

“My focus will be on building on those strengths, bringing even greater pace and focus to the business and making sure we continue to set the standard in the markets we serve.

“I’m excited about what we can achieve from here and look forward to working with Jordan in his new role, and with our teams around the world, as we take OpenBet forward.”

On the appointment, Levin added: “Nikos has already been instrumental in driving the evolution of OpenBet and I have tremendous confidence in his leadership as CEO, having served in multiple and progressing senior executive positions at OpenBet.

“He knows our business, our customers and our technology inside out, and has played a central role in shaping our priorities and how we execute against them.”

The C-suite shuffle comes on the back of OpenBet’s announcement that it was acquiring lottery technology supplier OmniLogic for an undisclosed fee.
