Kaizen Gaming has rolled out the “world’s first fully GenAI-powered live trivia experience” on its Betano brand in the shape of Betano Trivia.

The game, which was developed in-house via Kaizen Labs, will serve as a new free-to-play experience for Betano customers.

The product will go live in Betano’s 20 markets and feature an avatar presenter within an AI studio, each of which can be localised to specific geographies.

Betano Trivia will allow customers to win free bets and other prizes for correctly answering various quiz questions.

Betano said the product will be able to run 24/7 and that the launch comes in tandem with the World Cup group stages drawing to a close.

These types of free-to-play games have been used across the sector, with William Hill running a live version called Prize Point Trivia Show where players can win a share of £2,000.

Bet365 runs the Big Quiz Live Trivia while Ladbrokes offers the Trivia Showdown, as other examples.

Playtech and Low6 are two suppliers that have also inked operator partnerships to launch trivia content.

Playtech has gone live with Hard Rock Bet in the US with its Live Trivia Game Show.

A Kaizen Gaming statement read: “The launch of Betano Trivia reflects Kaizen Gaming’s broader approach to innovation.

“As Generative AI continues to transform industries worldwide, initiatives such as this showcase how organisations can utilise technological capabilities to amplify human creativity and deliver products and experiences that were previously impossible to deliver on a global scale.”

George Kourakos, Kaizen Gaming director of innovation, said: “Betano Trivia demonstrates how AI can be used to create entirely new forms of entertainment and customer engagement.

“At Kaizen Gaming we never use technology for its own sake. We have a clear goal to elevate the world-class gaming experience we offer to our customers.

“What makes this achievement particularly special is that it was developed entirely by our internal teams, combining creativity, engineering excellence and a shared passion for innovation across the board.”

Earlier this month, Betano rolled out its World Cup ad campaign after becoming an official partner of the tournament via a deal with FIFA.

The ad, which went live in 14 countries across Europe and Latam, features a non-playable character break out of a video game and experience the real world.

AI continues to dominate headlines in the sector, as well. Optimove announced last week it was to cut 10% of its workforce as part of an automation push.
