Aristocrat Interactive has appointed former Light & Wonder head Daniel O’Donoghue as the division’s new COO.

O’Donoghue departed Light & Wonder last summer, having served as COO of igaming since April 2023.

He joined the supplier as vice-president of transformation in the igaming arm in February 2022 after a three-and-a-half-year spell with Alvarez & Marsal.

In joining Aristocrat Interactive, O’Donoghue will be reunited with Dylan Slaney, who has served as CEO since November 2025.

Slaney spent several years at Light & Wonder, culminating in his role as igaming CEO from October 2021 to November 2024.

Aristocrat Interactive was formed in 2024 after ASX-listed supplier giant Aristocrat completed its acquisition of NeoGames.

NeoGames itself had acquired Aspire Global in 2022.

After Aristocrat Interactive was launched, NeoGames boss Moti Malul shifted to become CEO of the division.

Slaney replaced Malul in the top job after he departed in February 2026.

Aristocrat Interactive operates across four verticals: ilottery, customer experience solutions, igaming and sports, and content and aggregation.

Aristocrat delivered an Investor Briefing on Wednesday, 1 July, in which further light was shed on the firm’s operations.

Within Aristocrat Interactive, management said the arm is aiming to deliver $1bn in revenue by full-year 2029. In full-year 2025, the division returned $442m in revenue.

Management noted this would be bridged by revenue increases across content, ilottery and platforms.

Content revenue, driven by launching online versions of Aristocrat’s legacy land-based slots, should ramp up by $250m to $350m.

Within ilottery, new deals, expansion of existing partnerships and proprietary content gains could lift revenue by $150m to $250m.

Improvements across platforms is expected to add between $50m and $100m.

In the six months ending 31 March 2026, Aristocrat Interactive contributed 9% of total group revenue and 6% of total group profit.

Speaking on his appointment, O’Donoghue said: “I am pleased to announce that I have joined Aristocrat Interactive as COO.

“I am hugely grateful for the opportunity and for the trust placed in me by Dylan Slaney and Aristocrat.

“I am very excited to be on this ambitious team as we seek to execute on our strategy and deliver on the growth potential of the business.

“Looking forward to meeting the team and working together to continue delivering innovative online real-money gaming products, platforms and solutions for our customers and partners.”
