**Aposta Ganha Ready to Enter Brazilian Betting Market**

Aposta Ganha, a prominent local operator, announced on Tuesday, November 26, that it has received approval for its betting license from the Secretariat of Prizes and Bets (SPA). This marks a significant milestone as the company gears up to officially join the legal betting market in Brazil by January.

Hugo Baungartner, Aposta Ganha’s Chief Commercial Officer, describes this achievement as a monumental step, emphasizing the company’s commitment to contribute positively to Brazil’s emerging regulated betting industry. “We’re thrilled about this accomplishment,” Baungartner shared with iGB. “It’s a testament to our dedication as a Brazilian group committed to advancing the best interests of the local market.”

Operators aspiring to be part of the initial market phase needed to submit their license applications by August 20. This deadline saw 113 operators apply, eager to secure their place before the market’s official launch. Following this, in September, the Brazilian government announced that as of October 1, it would suspend any operator that had not applied for a license. Only those who submitted an application and were already operational could continue during the transition until December 31.

**A Strategic Edge for Early Movers**

With its recent license approval, Aposta Ganha secures a favorable positioning in the Brazilian market. Baungartner anticipates that around 40 operators will be authorized ahead of the market’s launch. He underscores the significance of this opportunity using a Brazilian phrase that translates to “he who arrives first drinks pure water,” highlighting the competitive edge awaiting those who act swiftly.

In discussing strategies to maintain and expand their customer base, Baungartner highlights transparency and compliance as key pillars. “We aim to ensure a smooth experience for our customers by adhering to SPA requirements,” he notes, stressing the importance of clear communication throughout the licensing transition.

Recently, the guidelines specified in Normative Ordinance 1,875 outlined necessary procedures for transferring player data and funds to licensed operations before the market launches legally. Operators wishing to transfer such data must request formal approval by December 13, with player consent necessary.

**Final Preparations for Aposta Ganha**

Despite the progress, Baungartner acknowledges several steps remain for Aposta Ganha to be fully prepared for its official debut on January 1. One crucial requirement is the payment of a BRL30 million (£4 million/€4.8 million/$5 million) license fee, as stipulated by Normative Ordinance 827 issued in May. He reassures that Aposta Ganha is fully equipped to demonstrate the source of these funds, a compliance hurdle some might find challenging.

Even with confidence in the January launch, Baungartner notes a slightly limited initial product offering, as some gaming partners are still finalizing certification. “We’ll begin with a selection of games in January, gradually expanding our range over the next few months,” he explains.

This week also saw companies like Rei do Pitaco and Superbet receive their licenses, signifying a turning point in Brazil’s betting landscape.
