Zitro has named Michael Bauer as CEO of digital as the company bids to accelerate its online growth.
Bauer, who will oversee Zitro Digital’s strategy and operations, has more than a decade of senior leadership experience in online gaming.
He joins from Greentube where he spent 10 years in C-suite positions at the provider’s Vienna offices. He will be based in Barcelona for his new role.
After being named as CFO of the NOVOMATIC subsidiary in November 2015, Bauer added the remit of chief games officer in September 2017.
The exec was then named chief product officer and revenue officer in April of last year, before departing in December.

Zitro, which has its roots in land-based gaming, made a digital expansion move in June last year when it partnered with Games Global to distribute its portfolio.
The Luxembourg-based supplier also joined the American Gaming Association in December.
