Yolo Investments has announced the appointment of Evert Einroos as the firm’s new managing director (MD).
The new role marks a promotion for Einroos, who has been part of the wider Yolo Group network since June 2017, when he joined as sportsbook operations coordinator working out of the company’s HQ in Tallinn, Estonia.
From there, he rose through the ranks, shifting his focus from group-wide ambitions in late 2020 to specifically contribute to Yolo’s investment arm, taking on the role of portfolio manager in November of that year, a position he served in until January 2023.
A two-and-a-half-year stint as an investment partner soon followed, before Einroos was appointed MD in June – as per his LinkedIn.
As per the company’s confirmation of the role change on LinkedIn, Einroos will be tasked with spearheading Yolo’s investment team, working alongside general partners and other relevant stakeholders, overseeing “fund performance, portfolio growth and future fundraising efforts”.
During his Yolo tenure, Einroos also served as a non-executive director of iGaming Next, as well as Narrative, a Santa Monica-based generative AI technology company. He remains in both roles to date.
Last month, Yolo Investments closed fundraising for its Fund II after achieving its initial €100m target, with the investment comprised of €50m in external capital alongside a €50m (£86.6m) commitment from Yolo Group.
Since launching in December 2023, the fund has supported 12 companies across the igaming, blockchain and fintech sectors, including Australian operator Dabble, which launched in the UK in May.
Fund II, which is structured as a Guernsey-registered limited partnership, is made up of 23 investors and is looking to “further strengthen the Yolo Investments ecosystem”.
Elsewhere in Yolo Group news, the group secured the services of Stephanie Eddy as the crypto-first operator’s new chief revenue officer (CRO) earlier this week.
Eddy’s remit includes the entire B2C division of Yolo Group, which houses Sportsbet.io, Bitcasino and Slots.io.
Reflecting on her new role, which brings an end to more than 10 years at Super Group-owned Betway, Eddy said: “Yolo Entertainment has consistently pushed boundaries in gaming and crypto.
“I’m thrilled to join the team at this exciting moment and help take these world-class brands to even greater heights.”
