Corin Nichols has announced his departure from Yolo Group after more than five years with the crypto-centric operator as CFO.

Nichols arrived in July 2019 and helped oversee a significant period of growth for the firm, which now comprises three distinct business divisions with more than 1,000 employees.

He joined after almost six years with Entain (then GVC Group), initially serving as head of financial reporting and planning before moving up to head of finance for international.

The former BDO head also counts a five-year spell with bwin on his CV, from June 2008 to November 2013, having joined as head of analytics and then being appointed financial controller.

Nichols has not yet confirmed his next step but said he was open to new opportunities as he thanked his former colleagues.

He said: “After a rewarding five years with Yolo Group, it’s time to close the year by identifying that my journey there has come to an end.

“I’ve enjoyed my time with the group and had some challenging and interesting years, meeting some wonderful people at the top of their game.

“Yolo Group will always have a special place in my heart, and I’d like to thank the inspirational [founder] Tim Heath and [former CEO] Maarja Pärt for giving me the opportunity to be part of the story there.”

Last month, Yolo Group revealed a new COO and three directors across its B2C arm, Yolo Entertainment.

Sandra Vask was promoted from head of legal to COO, while Anthony Cabrera has been brought in as director of Bitcasino.

New hire Amy Howard was appointed director of retention and ex-Bally’s head of casino marketing Alexander McLoughlin was named director of core markets for Asia.
