Winvia Entertainment has named former Rank Group exec Simon Hay as its new CFO alongside announcing preliminary full-year 2025 adjusted EBITDA of £31m.

The operator, which runs UK-facing prize draw competitions and a Romania-facing online casino business, went public on the AIM last year.

The IPO raised £40m, with the funds to be deployed to take advantage of the “highly fragmented UK prize draw market”.

The firm’s shares were up 5.7% on Tuesday afternoon, 27 January, to 238p, giving a market cap of £250m.

Following the IPO, Winvia’s CFO David Perry informed the board of his intention to step down.

He will be replaced by current Winvia chief commercial officer and former Rank Group exec Hay.

Hay joined Winvia in October to lead the commercial arm after more than three years with betPawa parent company pawaTech.

He spent two years with Rank, including a stint as interim CFO for the Maidenhead-based business.

Hay will become Winvia CFO on 1 February, with Perry stepping down from the company’s board.

From a financial perspective, Winvia is expecting to report adjusted EBITDA of £31m, up from £15.4m in full-year 2024.

In the UK, active customers jumped 47% leading to all-time revenue for the segment, while a new subscription model was launched in H2 2025.

Winvia said: “The group plans to prudently increase marketing spend on the subscription offering in order to further increase market share and recurring revenue.”

Bosses said Romania delivered an “exceptional performance in 2025” while a new B2B division was launched for online gambling.

Mihai Manoila, Winvia CEO, said: “The group continued to deliver strong growth throughout full-year 2025, providing further evidence of the highly profitable, technology driven business we have built across two fast-growing markets, UK prize draws and online gaming.

“Our successful IPO was a significant milestone for Winvia. We now have the foundations and capability to accelerate our growth strategy, specifically on the UK prize draw business where we see significant opportunities, both organic and inorganic, in a fragmented and fast-growing market where we can implement our technology platform.

“As we head into a peak trading period, we see a significant opportunity to increase our market share and intend to capitalise on the scale of the opportunities ahead.

“We would like to thank David for his work on the IPO and wish him well for his next project.

“We are delighted to have Simon join the board as CFO, his considerable experience across public markets and within the gaming sector will be invaluable as we progress our strategy.”
