Welcome to the Weekend Report, where iGB looks at the news you may have missed across the last few days. This week, Banijay completes bet-at-home stake sale, Playnetic names new CEO and Kambi partners with Mexico’s Pickwin.
Banijay sells bet-at-home stake
Banijay Group has completed the sale of its entire 53.9% stake in German iGaming and sports betting company bet-at-home.com.
The sale was part of a wider deal that saw Banijay acquire a 65% stake in Tipico Group from CVC. This was announced by the company in October last year.
The deal merged the Betclic and Tipico businesses. It was agreed that Betclic would divest its 53.9% stake in bet-at-home, with Banijay confirming this has now completed.
Banijay also said its CEO François Riahim and Betclic CFO Véronique Giraudon had resigned from the supervisory board of bet-at-home.
Playnetic brings in Mann as new CEO
B2B iGaming content provider Playnetic has appointed David Mann as its new CEO.
Mann has worked in the global gaming industry for almost two decades. He has held several senior leadership positions at leading iGaming companies, most recently as CEO of Swintt.
As Playnetic CEO, he will lead the company’s next phase of expansion. Playnetic launched in January 2024 and has secured licences in Malta, Sweden, Romania, Greece and Ontario.
“Our focus will be on driving the next phase of growth, strengthening existing partnerships, creating new opportunities and delivering exceptional gaming content to our operator partners and their players worldwide,” Mann said.
Kambi scores new deal with Mexico’s Pickwin
Kambi Group has agreed to a multi-year partnership to provide its turnkey sportsbook to Pickwin in Mexico.
Pickwin will replace its previous third-party sportsbook provider with Kambi’s end-to-end sportsbook solutions. These include its Bet Builder offering and trading capabilities.
The deal will also see Pickwin benefit from shared margin-driving insights provided from Kambi’s global partner network. This, Kambi said, will enable superior pricing and risk management.
“We are excited to partner with Pickwin and support their vision in delivering world-class sports betting experiences throughout Mexico,” Kambi CEO Werner Becher said.
Creedroomz rolls out exclusive content with Casumo
Live casino provider Creedroomz has entered a strategic partnership with online gaming operator Casumo.
Under the deal, Creedroomz will supply a suite of dedicated and branded live dealer tables exclusively for Casumo players. This will include blackjack tables, customised Kickoff Roulette and Luxe Auto Roulette games.
All tables will feature Casumo’s colours and logos, hosted by professional dealers in bespoke Casumo-branded attire.
“This partnership with CreedRoomz allows us to further elevate our live casino proposition with high quality, dedicated content built specifically for our players,” said Tim De Borle, chief operating officer at Casumo.
