Welcome to the Weekend Report, where iGB looks at the news you may have missed across the last few days. This week, Allwyn completes PrizePicks stake purchase, Snoop Dogg rolls out free-to-play casino and maid steals thousands to fund gambling.

Allwyn completes purchase of PrizePicks stake

Allwyn International has completed its purchase of a majority stake in daily fantasy sports operator PrizePicks.

Allwyn secured a 62.3% holding in the business for an initial consideration of $1.6 billion. It first announced the deal last October.

Upon finalising the deal, Allwyn said PrizePicks brings “highly complementary capabilities” in “fast-growing, opportunity-rich” markets. Allwyn billed PrizePicks as a strong addition to its expanding portfolio in casual entertainment.

“This investment advances Allwyn’s strategy to build a diversified global entertainment platform and significantly strengthens our presence in the US,” Allwyn CEO Robert Chvatal said.

Snoop Dogg launches free-to-play casino

iGaming technology provider Trivelta has partnered with global cultural icon Snoop Dogg to launch a new, free-to-play online casino.

Available in the US, Dogg House Casino will offer a range of games, some featuring themes based on Snoop Dogg. These include Snoop Blackjack, Snoop Dogg Poker and Snoop Crazy Dogg Cross.

Dogg House Casino will operate in all 50 US states. However, its sweepstakes games will not be accessible in California, Connecticut, Idaho, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York or Tennessee.

“For the first time, players can step into a casino built exactly the way I wanted it,” Snoop Dogg said. “The music, the vibe, the games. I wanted something innovative, immersive and fun, and Trivelta worked with Deathrow Games to help me bring that to life.”

IGT partners with Muscogee Nation for mobile launch

Also in the US, IGT has launched a mobile gaming solution with the Muscogee Nation in Oklahoma.

Delivered through BeOn mobile services from IGT’s Everi brand, Vi combines a range of offerings. These include Everi Digital games, CashClub Wallet technology, the Everi Compliance Anti-Money Laundering solution, and Trilogy loyalty platform.

Available on the App Store and Google Play, the app offers more than Everi Class II games. Among these are Cash Machine, Wicked Wheel Panda and Hot Spot Multipliers.

“Everi Vi gives us a modern way to meet our players at their preferred touchpoint and extend our offerings beyond the traditional gaming floor,” said Andy Langston, chief operating officer of Muscogee Nation Gaming Enterprises.

Approval confirmed for new Virginia casino

The Virginia Lottery Board approved PPE Casino Resorts Petersburg to become a casino facility operator in the state.

The board voted unanimously in favour of the application. This followed a comprehensive review of application materials and extensive background investigation.

PPE Casino Resorts Petersburg now plans to open a casino near the intersection of Interstate 95 and Wagner Road. An opening date for the facility is yet to be confirmed.

At present, four casinos operate in Virginia, with locations in Bristol, Danville, Norfolk and Portsmouth.

Maid stole thousands from employer to fund gambling

A domestic helper in Singapore stole tens of thousands of dollars and jewellery from her employer to fund gambling.

The Myanmar national stole S$86,000 (US$66,856) from her employer’s account, Shin Min Daily News reported. She was also said to have pawned jewellery worth more than S$20,000.

The 42-year-old made a series of withdrawals of $2,000 using an ATM card from December 2024 and July 2025. This, a court heard, was done when her employer was asleep, while she would delete notifications on her employer’s mobile phone.

The unnamed worker was sentenced to 20 months in prison over the matter.

Allwyn, PrizePicks, IGT and Snoop Dogg feature in the Weekend Report.
