Virgin Bet launches “Subs for Subs” on Rock ‘N’ Roll Football

Virgin Bet is launching Subs for Subs, a new campaign that offers football fans, and a friend, the chance to win a full year of paid football subscriptions.

The campaign begins on Friday, 15 August, coinciding with the start of the 2025/26 Premier League season, and runs across Absolute Radio’s Rock ‘N’ Roll Football, marking Virgin Bet’s third year sponsoring the show.

Dominic Vye, Marketing Director at Virgin Bet, said: “Subs for Subs is our way of giving back to the passionate supporters who make the game what it is. This campaign embodies our A Good Bet purpose: fostering a more inclusive football community where every fan can stay connected to the sport they love.”

To enter, fans across the UK simply tell their story explaining why they and a friend should win. Submissions will be judged based on fan passion, with winners receiving a full season subscription refund for both entrants and their chosen mates.

A commissioned YouGov study, featured in the campaign, found that the cost of subscriptions has become the biggest obstacle preventing fans from watching football. This initiative aligns with Virgin Bet’s A Good Bet brand purpose, aiming to lower barriers in sport and reward genuine fans. Previous efforts under this purpose include “A Grand Isn’t Grand”, which provided season ticket refunds due to price hikes, and Women’s Day racecourse events promoting safety and inclusivity in sport.
