The UAE Lottery has opened its first-ever land-based retail shop in Abu Dhabi’s Musaffah district and will offer in-person ticket sales.

Religious prohibitions are generally against gambling, as lotteries fall under Maisir in Islamic law, which is fully banned in the Qur’an. Despite this, the shop will offer players aged 18 and above the chance to buy tickets for games like Lucky Day Draw and Pick 3. Additionally, staff will be there to provide information about game formats and help with purchases.

The lottery stated:

“The Musaffah retail shop isn’t just a point of sale – it’s a fully branded, welcoming space crafted to reflect the excitement and energy of the UAE Lottery. From bold visuals to intuitive layouts, every detail has been considered to make the customer journey smooth and engaging. High-visibility signage and an open, welcoming interior support consistent footfall, while interactive displays and helpful staff ensure each visit is both informative and enjoyable.”

From April 2026, the Lucky Day Draw game will take place every Wednesday and Saturday.

The operator stated that it will practice responsible gaming by giving players access to different tools and resources. All of the offered games will be supervised by the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA), which will ensure compliance and a secure environment.
