Tipico has become the latest operator to join the European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA).
The union will “significantly strengthen EGBA’s representation in Germany and across German-speaking markets”, according to the European trade body.
Moving forward, Tipico will contribute to EGBA initiatives and working groups, across areas including responsible advertising, safer gambling and anti-money laundering (AML).
The EGBA said the move “reinforces the association’s representation in one of Europe’s most important and largest national gambling markets”.
EGBA secretary general Maarten Haijer said: “We’re delighted to welcome Tipico to EGBA and to start 2026 with such a strong addition to our membership.
“As Germany’s leading online gambling operator with a strong track record, Tipico brings valuable expertise to our association and will reinforce our collective efforts to promote a well-regulated and sustainable gambling sector in Europe.
“We look forward to working closely with our new colleagues on our shared commitment to high industry standards.”
Jochen Weiner, director of public policy at Tipico, added: “As a company committed to player protection and regulatory excellence, we look forward to contributing our expertise to EGBA’s important work.

In October, Banijay Group announced it was to acquire a majority stake in Tipico in a deal worth €3bn (£2.6bn).
The transaction, which is expected to complete midway through 2026, will see the Betclic parent company own a 65% stake in the Germany- and Austria-facing operator.
Julien Brun has taken on the role of CEO at Betclic as part of the agreement, with Axel Hefer remaining as Tipico’s CEO.
