After the exit of former chair Jens Bager, Better Collective has now officially appointed Thomas Plenborg as the new chair of the company.
Better Collective’s annual general meeting took place on March 24, 2026, during which Bager announced he wouldn’t go for reelection, leading to Plenborg being appointed as chair based on the recommendation of the board.
Bager had been on Better Collective’s board since 2016 and became chairman in 2017. Now, Plenborg will take over during a time when the company is entering its next phase of strategic growth.
Plenborg commented:

He has played a central role in shaping the governance, strategic direction, and growth journey over the past decade. Co-founder and co-CEO, Jesper Søgaard, added:

Currently, Plenborg is also a professor at the Department of Accounting at Copenhagen Business School and additionally serves as chair of the Danish transport and logistics group DSV.
