Super Group has agreed a partnership with The Jockey Club that will involve the operator’s Betway brand associated with 16 racedays at three UK tracks.
At Newmarket, Haydock Park and Market Rasen across the remainder of the year, Betway will sponsor 10 meetings, starting with Newmarket’s Craven Meeting on 15 April and concluding with the Last Fling Day at Haydock on 30 December.
Betway will also become the official fixed-odds partner for Newmarket’s Debenhams July Festival.
Lewis Knowles, Betway PR manager, said: “Betway sponsors some of the largest sporting events and teams globally, but it’s great to see British racing make a welcome return to our portfolio.
“We were one of the largest supporters of racing in the last decade, with thousands of races carrying our name from 2015 to the Champion Chase at Cheltenham in 2024. This deal is a fantastic opportunity to align our brand with this wonderful sport once again.
“We have had great success working alongside The Jockey Club in the past, and everybody at Betway is thrilled to be resurrecting that partnership for 2026.”
Dan Glavin, The Jockey Club betting partnerships managed, added: “It is fantastic news that Betway is renewing its association with The Jockey Club via this exciting new partnership.
“The Betway Craven Meeting at Newmarket is when the new flat turf season really hits its stride and is the perfect time to get the partnership underway.
“In addition to also becoming the fixed-odds betting partner of the prestigious Debenhams July Festival at Newmarket, Betway will also have its name associated with a significant number of high-class racedays right the way through to the end of the year.
“The majority of these racedays will be broadcast live on ITV, providing significant brand exposure.
“Our thanks go to all the team at Betway and we look forward to working closely alongside them throughout 2026.”
Super Group’s new deal with The Jockey Club comes at a time when several operators across the industry are pulling back from horseracing sponsorship as a mitigation measure against the rise in remote gaming duty to 40% announced last November.
In March, bet365 ended its deal with the Old Newton Cup and Lancashire Oaks at Haydock, two months after Coral chose not to renew its sponsorship of the Coral Cup at the Cheltenham Festival after 33 years.
BetMGM likewise opted not to renew its deal with Newcastle for the Fighting Fifth Hurdle, though the firm did replace Coral as the sponsor of the handicap hurdle on the Wednesday at the Cheltenham Festival.
