Super Group has reported revenue of $578.3m (£428.4m) for the final three months of 2025, representing an 8% year-on-year (YoY) increase on the back of record monthly average customers.

Revenue was driven by growth across Europe and Canada (excluding Ontario), with monthly average customers hitting 6.1 million versus 5.3 million a year prior.

Meanwhile, adjusted EBITDA rose from $125.9m to $139m, yet pre-tax profit slipped from $103.3m to $95.1m.

Sports betting revenue for the parent company of Betway and multi-brand casino Spin slid from $119m to $95m, though online casino revenue shot up from $412m to $473m.

Sports revenue fell 14% YoY, although total wagers were up 20% for the New York-listed firm. Sportsbook gross margin came in at 11.4%, compared with 16% for Q4 2024.

It was noted that customer-friendly sports results in December across the Premier League and Champions League, as well as the Africa Cup of Nations, impacted Super Group.

European performance was largely driven by Spain and the UK, while “solid sports and casino growth in Canada” was also cited by bosses.

In fact, sports betting revenue increased 21% and casino jumped 41% in the UK market.

The Americas accounted for 32% of quarterly revenue, with Europe sitting at 20%.

However, Africa dominated the group’s performance at 42%. Super Group holds multiple podium positions across the continent.

Bosses noted the strong performance in Botswana and “exceptional” casino growth of 32% in wagers, although the company continues to assess its strategy in Nigeria.

On a full-year basis, revenue hit $2.2bn and adjusted EBITDA came in at $559.5m.

Outside of financials, management announced approval had been received to acquire sportsbook tech solution Apricot, allowing Super Group take the non-Africa sports betting operations in-house.

Annual dividend programme targets will also move from 16 cents to 20 cents per share, while earlier in February, a $100m revolving credit facility was secured with Barclays, JP Morgan Chase and Citibank.

Super Group has set full-year 2026 revenue guidance as greater than $2.55bn and adjusted EBITDA to surpass $680m.

Neal Menashe (pictured), Super Group CEO, said: “2025 was a standout year for Super Group. We sharpened our focus by exiting the US igaming market and concentrating resources in countries where we expect durable advantages – driving record customer growth.

“Despite some unfavourable sports outcomes late in the quarter, Q4 was another record-breaking period for monthly active customers, wagers and deposits.

“Importantly, we received the final regulatory approval for the Apricot transaction, paving the way to strengthen our ex-Africa sportsbook technology platform and position the business well for the years ahead.”

Reacting to the performance, Regulus Partners said Super Group had done “extremely well to grow the Betway brand in multiple disparate jurisdictions”, although the cross-sell strategy could be open to regulatory headwinds.

The boutique analyst firm wrote: “However, strong growth in active monthly customers belies an operating model which now relies on a betting product and a betting-led brand to open the door to high value gaming customers rather than Spin’s traditional carrousel of gaming brands; outside Rest of Africa, betting does not work as a profit centre in its own right.

“Super Group therefore requires relatively benign VIP, gaming product and cross-sell regulation (and/or enforcement) for its business model to work; it also seems to require the absence of competition as aggressive as FanDuel, DraftKings, and Kaizen Gaming (Betano). That still leaves plenty of the world to grow in, for now.”
