Super Group has promoted chief of staff Kirsty Ross to COO, with the company’s CFO hailing the appointment as “the next best step for Super Group”.

Ross first joined the company in October 2023, initially arriving in the C-suite as chief people officer, before taking on the chief of staff role in September 2025.

Prior to joining Super Group, Ross spent 13 years at investment banking firm Renaissance Capital between June 2010 and August 2023, holding various positions including chief people officer, CEO for South Africa and HR director.

Ross also worked as the HR director for the Bank of America from June 2009 to June 2010.

Super Group’s last COO was Richard Hasson back in 2024. Hasson stepped up to become chief commercial officer while retaining his president title.

Ross now joins the Super Group executive management team that includes CEO Neal Menashe, CFO Alinda Van Wyk, chief technology officer Alon Ben-David and chief analytics and modelling officer Spencer McNally.

Ben-David, a former Playtech exec, was the most recent addition to the top team before Ross. He joined in June 2025 after a stint with B2B and B2C firm Soft2Bet.

Speaking about her new appointment, Ross said: “I’m pleased to share that I’ve stepped into a new role as COO at Super Group.

“Over the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with teams across the business, supporting our leaders, strengthening how we operate, and helping to connect strategy with execution, and I’m excited to continue building on the strong foundations already in place.

“Super Group is a business driven by talented people, clear ambition and a global mindset. In this role, my focus will be on enabling our teams to operate effectively, scale sustainably, and deliver against our long‑term priorities.

“Thank you to my colleagues for the support, trust and continued collaboration. I’m looking forward to what’s ahead.”

Speaking to EGR about Ross’ appointment, Super Group CFO Van Wyk said: “In her previous roles with the company, she already performed many COO functions.

“She’s been around in our business for the last three years, being very dynamic in getting into the weeds of the operations. Kirsty was very prominent in the whole process of integrating a lot of the shared services between the Africa and international segments.

“This was just the next best step for Super Group to put her in that role. It’s very exciting for me to work with her as a CFO.”

The announcement of Ross’ appointment comes on the back of Super Group announcing a record-breaking set of results for the first quarter of 2026.

The operator reported revenue of $612m for the quarter, marking an improvement of 18% year on year.
