STS chief technology officer Wojtek Sznapka has announced his upcoming departure from the Polish operator after almost seven years with the business.
Sznapka originally joined STS in June 2018 after more than five years with Cherry AB and its subsidiary, XCaliber Technologies.
During his time with the company, he helped oversee the growth of the department and managed significant projects including cloud migrations.
His exit from the Entain-owned operator comes amid a shift in the business, with chief sportsbook officer Piotr Cerlak also set to leave the company.
Cerlak joined STS in October 2019 as a sportsbook manager, before being made head of sportsbook in January 2021 and then chief sportsbook officer in April of last year.
He is set to be replaced by former Superbet head Ivan Gojić, who will also serve as vice-president of sportsbook for Entain CEE.
Entain CEE includes STS and Croatian operator SuperSport, with some of the firms’ operations having been merged last year.
Sznapka said: “The time has come to write the most beautiful thank you [as] humanly possible. My seven-year adventure as CTO at STS will soon come to an end.
“The decision to leave a company that I loved, admired and where I was a part of fantastic growth, as you can probably imagine, was very difficult.”
Sznapka also thanked STS chair Mateusz Juroszek, who previously served as the company’s CEO, for his support during his tenure.
He added: “Special thanks go to Mateusz Juroszek. STS is a market leader and a great company, primarily due to his personal commitment. The trust, autonomy and opportunities we received [from him] allowed us to spread our wings, building commitment and constantly pushing us forward.
“A lot of ambitious projects implemented together, extraordinary challenges and constantly raising the bar – it is hard to imagine a better boss. Thanks to the entire STS crew – it’s hard to imagine that there can be such a density of talent and cool people in one company. I will miss you.”
