Stake has announced the signing of legendary horseracing jockey Frankie Dettori’s as its latest global ambassador.
The Italian has become a household name in the sport, with his career spanning over 35 years.
Dettori has amassed 287 Group 1 race victories across that time, with 23 of those wins coming in the British Classic races: the 2,000 Guineas Stakes, 1,000 Guineas Stakes, The Oaks, The Derby and the St Leger Stakes.
The 54-year-old is also a three-time British Flat Racing Champion, achieving the feat of winning the most races in a season in 1994, 1995 and 2004.
One of Dettori’s greatest accomplishments was riding all seven winners on the British Festival of Racing Day at Royal Ascot in September 1996.
On Dettori’s appointment, Stake’s chief marketing officer Akhil Sarin said: “Frankie is one of the biggest names in horseracing history, but more importantly, he is also a name that transcends sport.
“His career achievements and personality are unmatched in the racing world and we are thrilled to welcome him onto the Stake roster.”
Dettori joins the crypto-first operator’s list of Stake ambassadors that includes former Manchester City and Barcelona striker Sergio Aguero and global music superstar Drake.
Stake also sponsors Premier League football team Everton as well as the Stake Formula 1 team.
Dettori remarked: “I am really excited to be working with Stake and to be part of such a refreshing and dynamic team.
“They are a hugely recognisable name within sport and work with some of the biggest athletes and teams, so I am looking forward to coming onboard and seeing what is next!”
Earlier this week, Stake unveiled its new remote developer-friendly gaming server Stake Engine, designed to allow startup and established creators to launch new games in a short space of time.
