Spain’s Directorate General for the Regulation of Gambling (DGOJ) has reported licensed operators posted gross gaming revenue (GGR) of €405.4m (£349m) for Q3 2025.
The figure represents a 16.5% year-on-year (YoY) increase compared to Q3 2024, but a fall of 1.4% from Q2 2025.
Of the market’s total GGR, casino revenue for the period stood at €231m, with sports betting coming in at €149.5m.
The remaining GGR came from poker (€21.7m) and bingo (€3.2m).
Casino revenue grew 6.7% from the previous quarter and increased 23% YoY. Slots revenue jumped 27.8% YoY.
Sports betting revenue saw a 10% YoY spike but a 13% decline when compared to Q2 2025.
Within the segment, in-play sports betting enjoyed a 32.8% increase from the prior quarter, although pre-match declined 43%.
Marketing expenses for Q3 2025 stood at €154.8m, down 6% from the previous quarter and but up 17.9% YoY.
Monthly average active gaming accounts for the quarter was 1,657,963, a 14.3% YoY spike but down 2.7% from Q2 2025.
Monthly average new accounts for the period stood at 153,286 users, down 8.9% from Q2 2025 but a slight increase of 0.07% YoY.
There were 77 total licensed operators live during the third quarter: 52 dedicated to casino, 44 for sports betting, nine poker, four bingo and two contests operators.
