Soft2Bet, a leading iGaming turnkey solutions provider, has announced plans to enter the Alberta market, with a strategic focus on localized offerings, including its Ontario-facing ToonieBet brand.
Market potential and compliance
Alberta is an important growth opportunity for iGaming in North America, as it has Canada’s youngest adult population and the highest GDP per capita, making it well-positioned for an open and competitive market. Additionally, Citizens JMP Securities has estimated that Alberta’s regulated market could surpass $700 million in annual revenue.
Soft2Bet is preparing for Alberta’s technical requirements and is monitoring the development of the province’s regulatory framework under the iGaming Alberta Act, which has established the Alberta Gaming, Liquor, and Cannabis (AGCL) as the gambling regulator and the Alberta iGaming Corporation (AiGC) as the supervisory body.
David Yatom Hay, General Counsel at Soft2Bet, commented:
“Innovation is paramount at Soft2Bet, and our goal is to develop exciting products that meet our customers where they are most comfortable. As we evaluate our entry into Alberta, pending regulatory approval, we are committed to delivering localized, engaging experiences that reflect the unique preferences and culture of each market.”
Excellence in Canadian localization
Soft2Bet plans to improve the gaming experience for Alberta players with the help of modern and compliant products. One of the main elements of the company’s regional strategy is taking localization further by transforming its brands according to local culture, regulatory standards, and player preferences.
To support this local focus, Soft2Bet is targeting native-language support in priority regions in order to make sure that its services are integrated into the local culture of all of the regulated markets.
