SkillOnNet has officially relaunched the Megaways Casino brand in the UK, almost three years since it was last active in the market.

MegawaysCasino.com is officially live as of today, 24 March, after the PlayOJO parent company first announced its relaunch in August 2025.

Following the UK rollout under the SkillOnNet Gambling Commission licence, the company is expected to launch the brand into other global markets in the future.

Megaways is now included under SkillOnNet’s licence summary with the Gambling Commission. The site is one of 39 active domains under the licence, with a further 17 white-label sites listed.

Relaunching with the ‘Play the Mega Way’ tag, SkillOnNet said MegawaysCasino.com will bring a “modern performance-optimised platform, exclusive content, a bold visual identity and a long-term investment in the UK market”.

It features over 8,000 games spread across slots, crash games, table games and live casino.

Giordana Anticoli Kalifa, country manager for emerging markets at SkillOnNet, said: “Play the Mega Way is more than a tagline. It captures the DNA of Megaways – the high-energy pace, thrilling variety and unpredictability of the mechanic – and injects it into the entire brand world.

“Megaways has always been one of the most powerful and recognisable mechanics in online gaming. With this relaunch, we’re not just bringing back a brand, we’re building an entire entertainment ecosystem around it.

“Play the Mega Way reflects our ambition to transform the energy, scale and unpredictability of the Megaways mechanic into a full brand experience. We are made for players who expect more.”

The Megaways slot mechanic is a random reel modifier which creates up to 117,649 ways to win on every spin on a slot game, and was first developed by Big Time Gaming (BTG) in 2016.

Gamesys Group then partnered with BTG in February 2021 to launch the first version of the Megaways Casino platform in the UK.

Bally’s Corporation, which completed its £2bn acquisition of Gamesys Group in 2021, announced the launch of Bally Casino in the UK market as a replacement for Megaways Casino in September 2023.

This led to the original Megaways Casino platform being officially decommissioned on 17 September 2023.

SkillOnNet bosses confirmed the operator was exploring the possibility of M&A in the UK market following the announcement of gaming tax increases in the Autumn Budget.

Remote gaming duty is set to rise from 21% to 40% next month, while general betting duty will increase from 15% to 25% in April 2027.
