SkillOnNet has announced the launch of an in-house developed AI-powered roulette dealer on its PlayUZU brand in Mexico.

GAIA, which stands for Gaming AI Agent, will roll out to additional markets across the SkillOnNet network in the coming months.

The game features an AI-powered, personalised digital dealer. GAIA can learn players’ preferences and “adapts its communication style” accordingly.

SkillOnNet said the bot will provide real-time assistance to players, and can explain to them bets, game flow and strategies.

GAIA will also be able to provide previous game results, win and loss records and gameplay history.

Players will not be limited to gaming-related conversation with GAIA, as the agent can speak about everyday topics including “hobbies, sports, foods, movies and weather”.

GAIA is equipped with the large language model GPT-4.1-mini for its chat function, which “supports every language”, according to SkillOnNet.

SkillOnNet, which also runs the PlayOJO and BacunaPlay brands, said the product combines the “thrill of RNG gameplay with the 3D realism of a live dealer”.

Jani Kontturi, head of games at SkillOnNet, said: “With GAIA Roulette, we’re redefining what’s possible in RNG casino entertainment, and we’re proud to bring our players something truly revolutionary.

“PlayUZU has always been about fairness, fun, and innovative entertainment – and GAIA fits perfectly with that promise. This launch will set a new standard for what players can expect from online roulette.”

SkillOnNet’s Ohad Narkis added: “GAIA Roulette is a leap forward in how players connect with technology. We’ve blended human-like interaction with the speed and fairness of RNG to create something genuinely next generation.

“This is the moment where artificial intelligence and entertainment truly meet.”

The launch of GAIA Roulette comes after crypto-first operator BetHog rolled out an AI blackjack game earlier this year.

YouGov data from September revealed that 16% of bettors say they have used AI tools in the past year to help them make gambling-related decisions.
