Rootz has announced it has rebranded to Wildz Group, in a move that reflects the operator’s flagship online casino and sportsbook brand.
Wildz has noted the rebrand acknowledges “industry developments and company growth”, after the business first went live in 2019.
The new group will continue to be powered by Rootz’s in-house platform and encompass six brands: Wildz Casino, Caxino Casino, Wheelz Casino, Spinz Casino, Chipz Casino and Tuplaus Casino.
As part of the announcement, Wildz noted that it plans to launch more brands before the end of the year and beyond.
The update read: “The leadership team believes Wildz Group will be the catalyst for even greater growth with suppliers, business partners and collaborators across the gaming industry.”
Late last year, EGR revealed Rootz had added a sportsbook to its Wildz brand, expanding from an igaming-only operation.
The sportsbook, which initially launched in Ontario and dotcom markets via its Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) licence, is powered by Altenar, though Rootz offers a unique UX after customising the frontend.
Sam Brown, CEO of the operator, talked up the influence of the Wildz brand when asked why it was chosen as the subsidiary to launch sports betting within the company’s portfolio back in November.
“It still represents around 50% of the revenue for the business,” Brown explained.
“It was our first brand. Wildz has one of the highest levels of brand loyalty and it performs very well in all markets. Not all of our brands are available in all of our markets, so Wildz was the logical choice.”
