Casino would be operated by Dean DiLullo, who owns the Carson Nugget
Reno Pro Soccer has reached a major milestone in its effort to bring professional soccer, casino and a transformative entertainment destination to Northern Nevada, submitting key project entitlements for its planned soccer-specific stadium and entertainment district.
The project would include a locally operated small-establishment casino experience with gaming and sportsbook amenities, operated by local owner Dean DiLullo, who owns the Carson Nugget.
“This project is about building something lasting for our community,” said Reno Pro Soccer Co-Founder and CEO Wendy Damonte. “It’s by locals, for locals — a place where people can come together to celebrate, connect, and experience the best of Reno year-round.”
From the outset, the vision for the local investment group has been to deliver more than a stadium — creating a year-round destination that reflects Reno’s energy, pride, and growth. Phase 1 will transform the vacant Jones West Ford site from an underutilized vacant parcel into a vibrant hub for community, sport, economic activity, and regional attraction.
The 29-acre development is expected to generate significant economic impact, including new jobs, tax revenue, and consistent year-round activation for residents and visitors alike.
It would bring to fruition Nevada’s only soccer-specific stadium with 6,000+ seats and premium fan experiences, including suites and club seating, anchored by a USL Championship Club. It would provide a walkable entertainment district with new bars, restaurants, and retail that complement the neighbourhood with unique new offerings.
There are also plans for a 301-room hotel supporting tourism and year-round visitation. The project would generate over 1,100 new jobs and long-term economic impact.
The project will create a cohesive, walkable district designed to complement the surrounding neighborhood while introducing new, high-quality experiences to the market.
Pending final approvals later this year, construction is expected to begin soon after. Demolition of the site is already underway.
In the months ahead, Reno Pro Soccer will continue engaging the community through events, surveys, and activations — including World Cup watch parties and the anticipated reveal of the Club’s name, crest, and identity this summer. The Club will host a Community Town Hall to share more on the stadium development later this month.
