Grosvenor in the midst of 850 slot roll-out across 50 venues
UK-based Rank Group, owner of the Grosvenor Casino and Mecca Bingo brands, has performed better than expected for the quarter ending March 31, generating GGR of £205.4m, an upswing of five per cent.
The addition of new slots following new quota rules brought in in July 2025, saw Grosvenor Casinos generate £95m for the quarter, marking an increase of five per cent, with slot machine revenue up ten per cent. Rank said there was ‘significant room for further improvement as we optimise the performance of the additional machines.’
Revenue at Mecca Bingo increased by five per cent to £37.8m with Rank saying it expected to achieve double-digit operating profit growth in FY26, due to the abolition of Bingo Duty in the UK at the start of April. The company’s online and mobile division generated revenue of £60.9m, up four per cent whilst the company’s Enracha business in Spain generated £11.7 m, an increase of 27 per cent.
It said that ‘whilst it is likely that the Middle East conflict will create ongoing uncertainty around international travel, we expect to see continued revenue growth in Q4.’
Interim CEO Richard Harris said: “It was pleasing to see continued revenue growth across all businesses and strong profit conversion in Q3, despite a tough macroeconomic backdrop. The results demonstrate the resilience of the business, the strength of the customer proposition and the growth initiatives we have in place.
“Having implemented the actions required to mitigate much of the impact of higher RGD in our UK digital business, and with clear plans in place to drive sustainable revenue growth, the group is well placed to deliver the medium-term objective of generating at least £100m operating profit.”
