Polymarket has appointed finance stalwart Warren Jenson as its first CFO, as it continues to bolster its C-suite.
Jenson joins the prediction markets platform from Neilsen, where he spent two years in the same role, as well as serving as president of the market research firm from October 2023.
Across his 30-plus year career, Jenson held the CFO position in several companies including NBC, Delta Air Lines and video games firm Electronics Arts, as well as retail giant Amazon from September 1999 to September 2022.
He spent just under four years at computer networking products firm Silver Springs Network as its chief operating officer between 2008 and 2011, before transitioning back to the CFO remit at advertising services company Acxiom between February 2012 and October 2018.
He also served as Acxion EVP, head of technical operations and president of international during his tenure.
Jensen then moved to AI-powered marketing firm LiveRamp in October 2018 as CFO, president and executive managing director of its international division.
Announcing the appointment on LinkedIn, Polymarket CEO Shayne Coplan wrote: “Thrilled to announce that Warren Jenson is joining Polymarket as our first CFO.
“A true legend. We’re grateful to have him and excited to learn from him.”
This year, Polymarket added Ari Borod as its president of sports business development and last month hired Travis VanderZanden as chief growth officer.
Earlier this week, Polymarket announced it was joining Blockchain for Europe.
Chief legal officer Neal Kumar said the move reflects the platform’s “commitment to engaging early and openly with EU policymakers”.
“Europe has the opportunity to set global standards for how prediction markets are regulated, and we want to be a constructive partner in that process, supporting a more integrated digital economy built around participation, transparency and technological innovation.
“Licensing gives consumers a supervised, accountable operator to trade on, and that is the outcome we are working toward,” he added.
