William Hill has announced the appointment of jockey Keith Donoghue as its new horse racing ambassador.
Donoghue is recognized by the bookmaker as a leading jockey, having clinched victories at the Cheltenham Festival riding horses like Tiger Roll, Delta Work, and Limerick Lace in recent years.
Andrew McCleave, who oversees marketing at William Hill Ireland, expressed enthusiasm over this partnership, stating, “We are thrilled to have Keith Donoghue join our ambassador team at William Hill. He is an exceptional jockey, and we are excited to see what the festival season holds for him.”
Joining the ranks of William Hill ambassadors, Donoghue is in the company of trainer Gavin Cromwell, broadcaster Jane Mangan, and former top jockeys Sir AP McCoy and Barry Geraghty, among others.
“With his role as a lead jockey for fellow ambassador Gavin Cromwell, he has promising opportunities ahead, and we look forward to sharing exclusive updates, behind-the-scenes interviews, and more on all our social media platforms,” McCleave added.
As part of his new position, Donoghue will regularly provide William Hill’s clients with insights, previewing his rides and sharing his thoughts on key racing topics in a consistent column featured on the company’s website.
Moreover, Donoghue will create video content for the brand’s social media channels managed by Evoke.
In other updates, marking the close of last week’s Safer Gambling Week, William Hill utilized its new sponsorship title for the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) as a platform to ignite discussions on gambling harm prevention among employees and fans.
Individuals from all four divisions of the league participated in sessions aimed at raising awareness about the challenges of problem gambling, sharing stories to help others recognize warning signs and manage their relationship with betting more effectively.
