Venue is currently the only one in Pennsylvania without tables
Parx Shippensburg in Pennsylvania wants to replace 48 electronic table games with 12 live table games with 72 seats/positions.
These would be made up of six Blackjack tables; two three-card Poker tables, two Ultimate Texas Hold’em tables, and two Roulette tables.
Parx Shippensburg is currently the only casino out of 17 casinos in the state that doesn’t have traditional live gaming. The operator has filed a petition with the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, asking for permission to launch traditional live table games for the first time.
The operator said: “In modifying its gaming floor with the introduction of live table games, Parx seeks to adequately serve the market’s demand. Parx respectfully submits the within Petition should be granted because Parx has demonstrated that there are sound business reasons for the proposed modifications to its gaming floor, namely, the removal of underperforming gaming units and placement of 12 live table games which Parx anticipates will improve the casino’s performance
The gaming floor size of 31,200-square-foot would remain the same.
