Novibet has announced the appointment of Elena Barba as the operator’s new chief marketing officer (CMO).
Barba first joined the online firm in October 2022 and has held several marketing-related roles in that time.
She initially began as head of marketing operations for international markets, later becoming director of marketing communications in September 2023.
Barba then served as executive director of marketing communications and media from October 2025 before taking on the C-suite role last month.
Prior to joining Novibet, Barba was a senior brand communications manager at telecommunications firm Wind Hellas from December 2020 to September 2022.
She also worked in customer experience positions at tobacco company Papastratos between January 2018 and December 2020.
This followed a three-year stint with fellow tobacco firm Phillip Morris International from October 2014 to December 2017, where she served in various brand executive and marketing supervisor roles.
A Novibet statement read: “Since joining Novibet in 2022, Elena has played a pivotal role in strengthening our brand and shaping our international marketing function.
“Her contribution has been instrumental in supporting our expansion into new markets, including Brazil and Mexico.
“By leading teams across Greece and global markets, she has delivered impactful campaigns and strategic partnerships that have significantly enhanced our brand presence.
“In her new role, Elena will continue to drive our global marketing strategy, creating meaningful brand experiences and building deeper connections with our players worldwide.
“This is another step in strengthening our leadership team as we accelerate our international growth.”
Barba’s appointment represents the latest addition to Novibet’s senior executive team, after the company hired Vasili Rappos as chief product and experience officer in June 2025.
Last month, Allwyn’s acquisition of a 51% stake in Novibet, in a deal worth €327m, was scrapped following a review by the Hellenic Competition Commission.
