NorthStar Gaming has confirmed the appointment of Corey Goodman as the company’s CEO on a permanent basis.

Goodman initially stepped into the role in an interim capacity in December 2025, taking over from former CEO Michael Moskowitz, who also served as chair.

While Goodman replaced Moskowitz as CEO, Dean MacDonald stepped into the role of chair of the board of directors.

Prior to taking on the CEO role, Goodman had worked as chief development officer and general counsel since October 2021.

Regarding Goodman’s permanent appointment, MacDonald said: “On behalf of the board, I am pleased to confirm Mr Goodman as NorthStar’s chief executive officer.

“Corey has brought focus and discipline to the company at a pivotal time, and the board has full confidence in his leadership as NorthStar completes its outstanding financial reporting and continues to strengthen the business.”

Goodman’s appointment comes amid a reshuffle of the Ontario-based operator’s C-suite, with CFO Chin Dhushenthen resigning from his position on 17 August.

Dhushenthen first joined the firm in September 2021, initially working as vice-president of finance and compliance, before taking on the CFO role in November 2023.

NorthStar confirmed he will remain in an advisory capacity to “support continuity through the completion of the company’s outstanding audits”.

Dhushenthen will be replaced by Ben Powell on an interim basis, effective immediately.

Powell has been with the company since October 2022, serving as vice-president of corporate development. He will be replaced in that role by Krisztina Kalla.

On Dhushenthen’s departure, Goodman remarked: “I want to thank Chin for his contributions to NorthStar and for his continued support through the completion of our audits.

“Chin has agreed to remain engaged in an advisory capacity, which will provide continuity as our auditors complete their work.

“I am also pleased to welcome Ben and Krisztina to their new roles, and I am confident that the strengthened finance and compliance functions will serve the company well as we move forward.”
