North Star Gaming CEO Michael Moskowitz has left his role with the company amid a reshuffle of the operator’s executive team.

Moskowitz, who also served as chair, has been CEO since October 2021.

He will be replaced as interim CEO by Corey Goodman, who currently works as the company’s chief development officer and general counsel.

Goodman, who co-founded the company, has been in his role since October 2021.

NorthStar Gaming said that Goodman will “work to refine its cost structure, enhance operational discipline and drive improvement efforts in respect of both revenue and profitability”.

In addition to leaving his position as CEO, Moskowitz has also relinquished the title of chair of the board of directors.

He will be replaced by current NorthStar Gaming board member Dean MacDonald.

MacDonald previously served as CEO of ClearStream Energy and chair of the Newfoundland and Labrador Energy Corporation.

In addition to Moskowitz’ departure and MacDonald’s promotion, Barry Shafran has resigned from NorthStar Gaming’s board and his role as chair of the audit committee.

The company will announce the appointments of new audit committee chair and independent director in due course.

Speaking on the transition, MacDonald said: “Mr Goodman has been an essential contributor since the founding of the company.

“The board has full confidence in his leadership and his deep knowledge of our business.

“His balanced and disciplined approach will help ensure continuity while we focus on strengthening performance and positioning NorthStar for long-term growth.”

NorthStar Gaming recorded revenue of C$6.9m for the third quarter of 2025, representing a 4% increase year on year.
