New York’s mobile sports betting market continued its run in September, once again surpassing the $2 billion mark in total wagers. This is now the sixth time in 2025 that the Empire State broke the $2 billion barrier. According to the latest figures, bettors in New York placed a combined $2.29 billion in wagers throughout 

New York’s mobile sports betting market continued its run in September, once again surpassing the $2 billion mark in total wagers.

This is now the sixth time in 2025 that the Empire State broke the $2 billion barrier. According to the latest figures, bettors in New York placed a combined $2.29 billion in wagers throughout the month, an 11.9% increase compared to August’s $2.04 billion.

The momentum wasn’t only month-to-month: in comparison to the same period last year, the state’s handle rose by 10.4% from $2.07 billion in September 2024.

In September, New York’s mobile sports betting operators generated a combined $193.8 million in revenue, recording an 8.7% increase from August’s $178.2 million. However, when compared to September 2024’s $204.7 million, revenue went down by 5.4%.

Looking at the revenues of operators, DraftKings took the lead in handle, taking in $870.6 million in bets, head of FanDuel’s $790.4 million. Despite that, FanDuel outperformed DraftKings with $77.6 million in earnings for the month, surpassing the latter’s $66.7 million.
