Midnite lands Wolves front-of-shirt sponsorship deal

Midnite has put pen to paper on a front-of-shirt sponsorship deal with Wolves after the Midlands club’s relegation from the Premier League.

The commercial agreement will cover the 2026-27 season and see the challenger operator become the club’s new principal partner.

The Midnite logo will appear on the front of Wolves’ men’s and women’s first-team shirts throughout the club’s 150th season.

Midnite has already planned to launch a fan-led initiative called ‘This Season’s On Us’, with the campaign kicking off on Wednesday, 3 June.

Wolves said the first 50 fans who arrive at a mystery location will go head-to-head with club legend George Elokobi in a trivia game to win season tickets and home shirts.

Midnite, which was co-founded by Nick Wright and Daniel Qu, will run a series of activations and fan engagement days throughout the season.

The partnership with Wolves, who will start next season in the Championship after finishing 20th last campaign, builds on Midnite’s sponsorship experience in the second tier of English football.

Last season, the club agreed a training kit sponsorship with Southampton and a front-of-shirt deal with Sheffield United.

Both of those agreements were on one-season deals. Neither club nor operator have confirmed if the respective partnerships will be renewed.

Midnite will replace fellow gambling business Debet as Wolves’ front-of-shirt partner.

Debet penned a two-year partnership in the summer of 2024 which also covered the club’s training kit.

The operator, which targets Asia, no longer holds a licence with the Gambling Commission, having previously been operating under white-label terms.

While a voluntary ban on front-of-shirt gambling sponsorship is now in place in the Premier League ahead of the 2026-27 season, operators remain free to do deals with lower league clubs.

Top-flight clubs can still hold commercial partnerships with gambling firms, including on sleeves and in-stadia advertising.

Wolves’ fellow relegated sides Burnley (96.com) and West Ham (BOYLE Sports) also both count gambling companies as front-of-shirt partners.

Neither club has confirmed if those partnerships in their current format will be retained for next season.

In the Premier League, Bournemouth have ditched BJ88 for Vitality, Brentford will switch Hollywoodbets for Indeed and Crystal Palace’s Net88 will be replaced by software platform Temporal next season.

Reports have also suggested CMC Markets is close to becoming the front-of-shirt partner for both Everton and Fulham, replacing Stake and SBOTOP, respectively.

Elsewhere, reports have claimed Betway is close to penning a £20m-per-year deal with Manchester United to sponsor the Red Devils’ training kit.

Andrew Mook, Midnite head of brand marketing, said: “Wolves are a huge club with a rich history, and we’re honoured to be sponsoring them during their 150th anniversary year.

“At Midnite we’re committed to putting fans first with our initiatives and we’ve shown that with our sponsorships of Sheffield United and Southampton last season, and the World Snooker Tour.

“Wolves will be no different, and this is just the first way we’re showing up in what will be a packed year of activities. We can’t wait to get down to Molineux and see the team in action.”

David Thomson, Wolves head of partnerships, added: “We’re pleased to have agreed this vitally important principal partnership with Midnite in what is such a big year for the club – both on and off the pitch.

“Midnite is a progressive and ambitious company that shares our desire to innovate and engage supporters in new ways and this partnership represents an exciting opportunity for both organisations to give back to the fans that make this club what it is.”
