Midnite has announced the appointment of former Flutter figure Andrew Mook as the operator’s new head of brand marketing.
In his new role, Mook will be tasked with overseeing brand strategy and identity, as well as promoting the sportsbook’s next-gen product to UK punters.
Mook’s most recent role before joining Midnite was a one-year stint at men’s health charity Movember, where he served as marketing campaigns director for UK and Ireland (UKI) and its Europe division.
Midnite’s newest addition brings with him industry experience, having spent two years as head of marketing strategy and planning for Flutter Entertainment between 2022 and 2024.
During the two-year stint, Mook oversaw the direction of Sky Bet’s annual marketing, brand strategy and planning.
Before that, Mook was at Sky Betting & Gaming, initially joining the Flutter-owned outfit in 2018 as creative lead, before rising up the ranks to depart in October 2022 as the operator’s head of creative strategy after spending 20 months in the role.
Commenting on his new title, Mook said: “Midnite is the most exciting name in UK betting right now. There’s a genuine ambition here to shake things up and do things differently.
“The opportunity to help shape the brand at this stage of its growth is incredibly rare, and I’m thrilled to be on board.”
It was a sentiment shared by Nick Wright, Midnite founder and CEO, who added: “Andrew brings a wealth of experience from some of the biggest names in the industry, but what really stood out was his passion for building bold, creative brands.
“As we continue to grow, having someone like Andrew to lead our brand marketing efforts is a huge asset.”
Midnite noted that the appointment of Mook comes as the brand looks to build on its recent marketing efforts, which include sponsorship of the 2025 World Snooker Championship and its first TV advertising campaign.
Mook’s arrival comes one month after Midnite hired another ex-Sky Bet figure in Zach Amin, who previously served as the operator’s vice-president of sportsbook.
Amin took on the role with the challenger brand after spending more than 11 years working for Sky Bet and its parent company in various capacities.
