The Philippines will host the world’s largest Mövenpick hotel as Megaworld Hotels & Resorts partners with Accor to rebrand and upgrade the 1,530-room Grand Westside Hotel in Parañaque City. The conversion includes full systems integration, operational improvements and the adoption of Mövenpick brand standards, with completion scheduled next year ahead of a targeted end-2026 opening.
Accor said the development strengthens its presence in the Philippines amid continued growth in domestic and international travel. Megaworld noted that the project is expected to support the tourism sector, create new jobs and enhance Manila’s position as a global destination.
Mövenpick Manila Bay Westside will form part of the 31-hectare Westside City township, a large-scale mixed-use development featuring hotels, residential towers, retail, leisure and a casino and entertainment complex. The rebranded hotel will have direct access to the integrated resort precinct, adding significant room capacity to one of Metro Manila’s fastest-growing tourism zones.
The project reinforces the ongoing expansion of hotel infrastructure within Entertainment City, driven by rising travel demand and increased international investment in Philippine hospitality.
