Yesterday’s Mega Millions drawing did not create a new jackpot winner. However, it did create two new millionaires, as players in California and New Jersey won seven-figure sums.

California Player Took $2M, New Jersey Player Grabbed $3M

The Tuesday Mega Millions drawing saw lottery enthusiasts play for a shot at the $60 million jackpot (cash option of $27 million). While no one was lucky enough to win the game’s top prize, that is to be expected, considering that players already won two Mega Millions jackpots this month.

However, Mega Millions kept on giving as multiple players won smaller prizes, including two prizes of over a million dollars.

For context, the winning numbers for the drawing that took place on March 24 were 4, 13, 52, 53, and 69, plus the gold Mega Ball 10. Two separate players narrowly missed the jackpot by matching all regular numbers, but not the Mega Ball. As a result, one of them, a ticket holder in California, won $2 million on a 2X multiplier. The other player, a lottery enthusiast in New Jersey, won $3 million thanks to their ticket’s 3X multiplier.

In the meantime, three separate players won the game’s third-tier prize. One of them grabbed $30,000 due to their 3X multiplier. The rest took $40,000 and $50,000 thanks to multipliers of 4X and 5X, respectively.

In the meantime, the Mega Millions jackpot has now reached $70 million for the Friday drawing. The cash option is $31.5 million.

Two Mega Millions Jackpots Were Won in March

The first Mega Millions jackpot for 2026 was won on March 10 when a lucky player in Illinois, referred to as “Lucky Lady,” won $536 million. The player later visited the lottery HQ to claim her prize, although the lottery’s official release did not specify whether she opted to take the lump sum or the annuity.

However, the winner did tease that she planned to use the money to buy a house with a pool. She added that a family trip to Las Vegas is also on the table.

The next jackpot landed only several days after Lucky Lady’s windfall and was a $60 million prize that went to a player in Ohio.
