Lottomatica has announced it has joined the STOXX Europe 600 Index, effective as of the start of trading on 23 June.
It marks another positive development for the sportsbook and igaming operator, which is currently a market leader in Italy.
Lottomatica is one of nine new companies to be added to the stock index later this month.
Other prominent companies to have made the latest round of additions include real estate titans Mobimo Holding, air traffic and defence technology company Indra Sistemas and Georgia-facing bank Lion Finance Group.
However, fellow igaming industry giant Playtech has been named as one of the companies being deleted from the index, with the removal coming at a time when the London-listed supplier continues to shift its strategic focus to become a solely B2B business.
The index is “a broad measure of the European equity market”, listing 600 of the best-performing companies across 17 countries on the continent. It spans various industries and asset classes and is published by global index provider STOXX Limited.
STOXX boasts several indexes, tracking companies across the world, including the STOXX North America 600 Index, STOXX Asia/Pacific 600 Index and STOXX Global 1800 Index.
The news of its inclusion to the index comes just under a month after the Italian operator published strong Q1 2025 results that included a 33% year-on-year (YoY) increase in revenue to €587.7m (£496m), marking a record performance for the company.
Lottomatica’s online efforts contributed the lion’s share of the topline figure, amassing €239.8m and representing a 59% YoY improvement for the segment.
The last 18 months has also seen Lottomatica secure the acquisition of SKS365, since rebranded to PWO, as part of a €639m deal that saw the operator fend off interest from Flutter.
The deal has enabled Lottomatica to further increase its market share in the Italian market, while bosses have identified €12.5m in synergies as a result of the PWO transaction.
